My Motivation
Games have been a huge part of my life ever since I can remember. I held a controller in my hand before I even learned to walk, which I think a lot of you can relate to. To me, games, especially digital games, are the most underrated form of art there is. Music, design, and writing are beautifully combined to create masterpieces, where you are the center that controls what happens. And when I found out that I could become part of creating something this big and impactful, I just knew that this was exactly where I wanted to be in life. Creating something that brings others joy is part of the reason I try to pursue an artistic career.
SPROUT: Together We Grow
SPROUT is my first-ever attempt to design a concept for a game. It was inspired by the T.H Cologne Game Design application 2026 topic “Carrying and Caring”. The article “Beyond awareness: Climate games as invitations to care for the future,” written by Carien Moossdorff and Joost M. Vervoor, and an extract from “The Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction” by Ursula K. Le Guin, were meant to inspire applicants to create a game which should highlight the drastic changes of climate and is supposed to teach “caring” as a skill. This is how I came up with SPROUT. It is an RPG featuring Life-Simulation, which is about how only together can we make changes in the world
